A wedding ring is something that you will have forever, so take the time and do the research up front so that you will not regret your decision. You have several options to choose from as far as the metal is considered. White gold, pure gold, and platinum are all variable options.
You can combine these into a two tone gold wedding ring to increase the options even more. While these are all great options, one of the more overlooked and classic styles is the rose gold wedding ring. Rose gold wedding rings have been around for a long time but until recently were almost never seen used anymore. The style fell out of fashion but recently has been revived as people are looking for newer and more unique wedding rings that are still traditional.
You may have heard of rose gold wedding rings before, but have no idea what they are. I have had years of experience with different kinds of wedding bands and would like to take some time to describe to you what a rose gold wedding ring is so you can determine whether or not you would consider getting one.
What Is A Rose Gold Wedding Ring?
A rose gold wedding ring is simply a wedding band made from rose gold. If you are familiar with the different styles of wedding bands available then you really should not need any education in that area. Rose gold can be formed into any of the styles that normal gold or platinum can. It has a unique and distinct look from other metals and is a very strong and resistant gold alloy.
Rose gold comes from the combination of copper and gold. The typical mix is seventy five percent gold twenty five percent copper. Because of this combination the alloy will have a reddish or pinkish color. It can also be known as pink gold or Russian gold. This alloy was popular in czarist Russia in the nineteenth century and was used in a variety of different jewelry in addition to wedding bands.
The color of the jewelry can vary depending on how much copper is used with the typical being 18 karat gold. In addition some times silver will be mixed in to lighten the color a bit creating a much more pleasing and subtle red hue to the gold of the band.
As you can see rose gold wedding ring have a unique color and aspect to them that may suit your needs well. Hopefully you now know of an additional option to the traditional pure gold wedding band.
